  4.     I am outraged by your cover (June 12) showing a human body in
  5. a pool of blood in China. This followed the bloody picture of the
  6. stormy aftermath of the elections in Panama (May 22). Must you use
  7. such images to sell magazines?

  12.     Photographs may reveal fact and truth, but I must remind you
  13. that children see the covers of newsmagazines. I'm afraid to look
  14. at TIME's next cover if the brutal chaos continues.

  19.     Even after hours of television broadcasts of events in Beijing,
  20. including the massacre of students, your June 12 cover grabbed my
  21. emotions and pulled out a response of anguish I had not felt
  22. before. If others experienced similar revulsion at the slaughter
  23. of the best and brightest of China's youth, your selection --
  24. however shocking -- was appropriate.
